The Victoria Fund manages gifts of securities, real property, insurance, wills, and estate-planning as well as Endowment Funds and Community Action Funds. The Garth Homer Foundation receives gifts from the Dorothy May Kelly Fund through the Victoria Foundation.

Butchart Gardens has been a long-time community partner, donating coins from their beautiful fountains to our volunteers who count, clean and sort them for a matching grant from GHF for the Garth Homer Society.

Richardson Wealth provides impact investing to help GHF empower the change we want to see in the world while producing competitive returns for our Endowment Fund. Richardson Wealth is CEFEX-certified for fiduciary excellence.

As Canada’s largest charitable social enterprise, CanadaHelps manages individual, employee, monthly and matching contributions on behalf of GHF.

Community Grants

A stronger community for us all.

Starting in 2014, the Foundation has provided limited financial support for a range of special projects and activities that enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities in the community, but not directly associated with the Garth Homer Society.

We have made small grants to organizations like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association, and contributed to a bursary that will allow a candidate from the community living sector participate in Leadership Victoria’s leadership development program.
