About Us

Mission

The Garth Homer Foundation provides funds to support people with developmental disabilities to make a life, a home, and a place in the world.

What does it take to make a life?

We know that people with developmental disabilities want no more or less than the rest of us – to have a daily purpose, to be included among friends and in community, to feel truly at home somewhere, and to achieve something meaningful.

But for most, they cannot reach these goals on their own.

What does it take to make a place?

We work primarily with the Garth Homer Society to help people with developmental disabilities be everything they can be. Our fundraising activities bring together a community of supporters that believe in the power of transformational change.

In order to grow we all need a place to call our own - a place we go to learn, a place we go to connect with others and a place where we can build on our lives. The Garth Homer Centre is that place, and the Foundation is proud to own and support the Centre.
